How to schedule posts on Bluesky

Note: The Planner and Composer buttons on the dashboard have been merged into a single section called Publisher. You can now find the Compose button inside the Publisher tab.

Step-by-step guide: How to connect and schedule BlueSky posts

Access social accounts settings

From your ContentStudio Dashboard, go to Workspace Settings and click on Social Accounts.

Connect your BlueSky profile

Look for the BlueSky option and click Connect BlueSky Profile. A pop-up will appear asking for your BlueSky username and App Password.

Generate your app password

If you don’t already have an app password, click the link provided to generate one instantly via BlueSky.

Finalize connection

Click Connect and you’re all set!

Compose your post

Navigate to the Post Composer, choose your connected BlueSky profile, and start crafting your post. You can also enhance your content by uploading images or a video. You can directly upload from your device or connect your Google Drive or Dropbox account for easy access. You can also use the build in Media Library to manage your assest. When composing, keep in mind that BlueSky allows posts up to 300 characters. You can also create multi-threaded posts, with up to 25 threads or replies—each adhering to the same 300-character limit.

Image and video Requirements:

• Up to 4 images per post
• Supported formats: JPEG (JPG) and PNG
• Maximum file size: 1 MB each
• Only 1 video per post
• Supported formats: .mov or .mp4

Choose your posting option

You can choose from different scheduling option:

• Post Instantly
• Add to Content Category
• Save as Draft
• Schedule for Later

Schedule your post

If you want to schedule your post, simply select your desired date and time, and ContentStudio will handle the rest.

What is the limit for multi-threaded posts?

You can create up to 25 threads or replies within a single multi-thread post.
