How to download a video from Facebook on any device
Facebook has no download button for other people's videos. You get a link from Facebook, then use a downloader to turn that link into a file. The steps change a little by device.
On a computer (Windows or Mac)
Open the video in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox. Click the three dots on the post and choose Copy link, or copy the address from the browser bar when the video is open on its own page. Paste the link above, click Download and pick HD. The MP4 lands in your Downloads folder.
On Android
In the Facebook app, tap Share under the video, then Copy link. Open this page in Chrome, paste the link and tap Download. The file usually goes to the Downloads folder and shows up in your gallery app.
On iPhone or iPad
In the Facebook app, tap Share, then Copy link. Open this page in Safari, paste the link and tap Download. Safari saves the file to the Files app (Downloads folder). To move it to Photos, open it in Files, tap the share icon and choose Save Video.
Facebook Reels
Reels download the same way. Tap the three dots or Share on the Reel, copy the link and paste it here. Reels save as vertical MP4 files at the resolution they were uploaded in.
Facebook Live replays
You can't save a broadcast while it is live. Once the Live ends and the replay is posted on the Page or profile, copy that video's link and download it like any other public video.
Videos you uploaded yourself
For your own videos you may not need a downloader. Open the video on your profile or Page, click the three dots and look for Download video. If the option is missing, request a copy of your videos from Accounts Center under Export your information.
