Reposting on Instagram is a great way to keep your audience engaged. People repost all kinds of content; memes, quotes, short videos, etc. Some of us see stories of our friends and want them to re-share and wonder how to do it.
According to the Instagram help center, you can repost if you are:
Step 1:
Tap paper airplane as shown in the image below.
Step 2:
Tap add to your story
You will get editing options along with the post.
You can add stickers, text, gif, draw or save
Step 3:
Tap > icon to move to the next tab.
Step 4:
Tap share to repost
Note: If you don’t see “share on the story,” they must have disabled post re-sharing, or the account isn’t public.

Open DM and tap add to my story.

Click the “>“ icon to go to on the next tab.

Tap share to repost
Some contents are interesting enough that you want to post them often. We have a way to immortalize the same subject often.

Tap “profile icon” in the bottom corner

Tap 3 bar hamburger icon

Go to archive
Step 4:
Select a story
Step 5:
Tap “Share”
Step 6:
While after tapping the “share” button whether it’s a business or normal account, you will see a preview of your story with options to edit it.
Step 7:
Tap > to proceed
When you process, you will get options to share posts on a story or in DM.
Tap share and repost it.
You might not see the “share on story” option for some posts.
The reason could be one of two: the account isn’t public, or they have disabled sharing mode.
If you aren’t tagged and you want to repost the story. Just go on the public account of your interest, pick up the feed, tap airplane paper and share the story.
