Create, schedule, and queue posts
Create, draft, schedule, queue, or publish posts across multiple social networks using simple natural language commands.
Connect ContentStudio to Hermes Agent, the open-source agent from Nous Research, with the ContentStudio CLI and skill or the ContentStudio MCP server. Then ask Hermes to draft, schedule, and approve posts from your terminal or the chat apps it's connected to.

$npm install -g contentstudio-cli $npx skills add contentstudioio/contentstudio-agent $contentstudio auth:login --api-key cs_...Publishes to:
Quick Reference
Core Capabilities
The ContentStudio skill gives Hermes access to the core features you use every day, so it can manage workspaces, social accounts, content, media, and approvals from a single chat.
Create, draft, schedule, queue, or publish posts across multiple social networks using simple natural language commands.
Create images and videos for your posts from a prompt, or edit images with product shots, headshots, background removal, and upscaling.
Hermes can pull analytics reports and triage the social inbox, replying to messages, comments, and reviews.
Switch between client workspaces, set the active one, and confirm context before any change lands.
List connected channels or generate a one-time OAuth URL to connect Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and more.
Review pending posts, approve or reject content, and leave feedback without opening the ContentStudio dashboard.
Upload local files or import straight from a URL into your ContentStudio content library, then attach them to any post.
Read campaigns, content categories, labels, and team members so your agent keeps everything organized.
Add public comments or internal notes to any post, and mention teammates.
Setup
Three quick steps are all it takes to connect Hermes Agent with ContentStudio and start scheduling your social media from your terminal or chat apps.
Install the CLI globally with npm. This is what Hermes uses to talk to the ContentStudio public API.
npm install -g contentstudio-cliInstall the skill file so Hermes knows every ContentStudio command, including analytics, inbox, and AI images, without extra prompting. Pick Hermes Agent when the installer asks which agents to install into.
npx skills add contentstudioio/contentstudio-agentGenerate an API key from Dashboard → Settings → API Keys, then use it to authenticate the ContentStudio CLI.
contentstudio auth:login --api-key cs_...Prefer a sign-in with no key to manage? Add the ContentStudio MCP server to your Hermes config instead.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard Hermes uses to call outside tools. Add ContentStudio under mcp_servers in ~/.hermes/config.yaml, restart Hermes, and sign in with your ContentStudio account.

See how simple it is to manage your social media with natural language. Hermes handles everyday social media tasks, with ContentStudio doing the heavy lifting behind the scenes.
> Approve the post waiting on me and leave “looks great!” as feedback.
✓ Approved the pending post and added your feedback. It's cleared to publish.
> Draft a Facebook post: “Our new blog is live!”
✓ Previewed it with --dry-run, then created a draft on your Facebook page.
> Schedule these five posts across LinkedIn, X, and Facebook for next week.
✓ Queued all five to three platforms, dry-ran each, then scheduled them in this workspace.
> Connect a new Instagram account.
✓ Generated a one-time OAuth URL. Open it to authorize, and Hermes confirms.
> Who's on the team for this workspace?
✓ Listed your team members and their roles, so you know who can approve and publish.
> Upload this product photo and attach it to a draft.
✓ Ran media:upload, then created a draft with the image attached.
Security & Trust
Secure API authentication, workspace confirmation, and dry-run previews help keep every action safe, transparent, and under your control.
Scoped API key: Authenticate using a single cs_ API key that connects only to the ContentStudio public API. Revoke or replace it anytime without exposing your social account passwords.
Dry-run before writes: Every create, update, delete, approval, or upload action is previewed with --dry-run before it reaches the API, giving you a chance to verify changes first.
Workspace confirmation: Before making any change, the skill confirms the active workspace, so posts, approvals, and updates always go to the correct client or brand.
Least privilege, open source: The skill is restricted to Bash(contentstudio:*) permissions and released under the MIT license, so you can inspect, audit, and verify every line.
Platforms

Hermes Agent or OpenClaw
Both are agents you can run on your own machine and talk to from chat apps, and both use the same ContentStudio CLI underneath. The difference is how the skill gets installed. Using OpenClaw instead? See the ContentStudio OpenClaw integration.
| Hermes Agent (by Nous Research) | OpenClaw (skill on ClawHub) | |
|---|---|---|
| What it's for | Open-source agent with a built-in MCP client. | Agent with the ContentStudio skill on ClawHub. |
| You say | “Schedule these five posts across LinkedIn, X, and Facebook for next week.” | “Connect a new Instagram account.” |

Troubleshooting
Most issues come down to the MCP connection, the API key, or the wrong workspace.
Run contentstudio auth:status. If has_api_key is false, run contentstudio auth:login --api-key cs_... with a key from Dashboard → Settings → API Keys.
Your key is missing or invalid. Generate a fresh one in the dashboard and re-run auth:login.
A shell export doesn't persist into a running gateway. Set CONTENTSTUDIO_API_KEY in the agent's actual environment (systemd Environment= or Docker -e), then restart the service.
You've hit the API rate limit. The CLI retries automatically, but AI image and video generation never auto-retry, because they are billable. Wait a moment and retry, or space out bulk jobs.
The post, account, or file belongs to a different workspace. Check the active one with contentstudio workspaces:current.
Check that contentstudio sits under mcp_servers in ~/.hermes/config.yaml with correct YAML indentation, then restart Hermes.
One account, one set of tools. Pick the agent you already work in, or browse all of them below.
Building something custom? Browse every ContentStudio integration.
Install the CLI and skill or add the MCP server, and let Hermes draft, schedule, and approve posts from your terminal or chat apps.
