Agorapulse pricing 2026: What a team really pays beyond the per-user price

Later has three published plans. On annual billing, they cost $18.75, $37.50, and $82.50 per month in USD, and the pricing page frames the annual discount as “3 months free | 25% off”. There is no free plan; every tier starts with a 14-day free trial instead.
The detail that shapes every Later quote is the social set. Later does not sell you individual profiles; it sells bundles of eight profiles called social sets, and your plan is defined by how many sets and how many users it includes. Starter gives you one set and one user. Growth gives you two sets and two users. Scale gives you six sets and four users.
That structure is generous if you post across many networks for one brand, and expensive if you manage several brands with few networks each. This article works through the published rates, the add-on pricing for extra sets and users, the real cost for a team of three or five, and how the total compares with ContentStudio.
All prices are USD. Later’s pricing page displays annual rates by default; the figures below are the ones shown on the plan cards.
| Plan | Annual billing (per month) | Annual payment | Social sets | Profiles | Users | Posts | Analytics history |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $18.75 | $225 (calculated) | 1 | 8 | 1 | 30 per profile, per month | Up to 3 months |
| Growth | $37.50 | $450 (calculated) | 2 | 16 | 2 | 180 per profile, per month | Up to 1 year |
| Scale | $82.50 | $990 (calculated) | 6 | 48 | 4 | Unlimited | Up to 2 years |
The annual payment column is our calculation from Later’s published monthly-equivalent rates. Later displays the per-month figure and the “billed yearly” label but does not print the annual total on the plan card.
Later’s pricing page carries a “Bill Monthly” toggle but displays the yearly rates by default, and the captured page does not print the monthly figures. Applying Later’s own published 25% annual discount to the displayed rates gives $25, $50, and $110 per month for Starter, Growth, and Scale, respectively.
Those three numbers are consistent with Later’s second framing of the same discount, “3 months free,” which means paying for nine months instead of twelve. Nine months at $25 is $225, exactly the Starter annual total. The arithmetic lines up across all three plans.
Treat $25, $50, and $110 as derived figures, not prices Later publishes on the card. Confirm them on the pricing page with the monthly toggle selected before you build a budget around them.
| Add-on | Starter | Growth | Scale |
|---|---|---|---|
| Extra social set | Not available | $11.25/month each | $11.25/month each |
| Extra user | Not available | $3.75/month each | $3.75/month each |
| Extra AI credits | Not available | $3.75/month per 100 credits | $3.75/month per 100 credits |
Flag: Later’s plan cards list extra users at $3.75 per month, while the FAQ on the same page states “$5 per additional user.” These two published figures conflict. The calculations in this article use the $3.75 rate shown on the plan cards, but verify the charge at checkout, because the difference compounds across a team.
Starter is a single-operator plan for one brand. You get one social set (8 profiles), one user, and 30 posts per profile per month.
The feature list is deliberately narrow: Instagram Reels Audio, best time to post for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, Link in Bio, and basic customer support. Analytics history runs to three months, and you get 5 AI credits a month.
The restriction that defines Starter is that no add-ons are available on it. You cannot buy an extra social set, an extra user, or extra AI credits. If you outgrow any single limit, the only move is a full upgrade to Growth, which more than doubles the price.
The 30-posts-per-profile ceiling is the one most people hit first. At roughly one post per day per profile, it is workable for a creator and tight for a brand running daily stories plus feed posts.
Starter suits a solo creator or a one-person marketing function managing a single brand across up to eight profiles, who does not need approvals or a second login.
Growth is Later’s main plan and the one the page marks “Most popular.” It includes two social sets (16 profiles) and two users, with posting capacity rising to 180 posts per profile per month and AI credits rising to 50.
Functionally, this is where Later becomes a team tool. Growth adds internal and external approvals, a social inbox, smart scheduling, multi-profile best times to post, UGC collection, and custom roles and permissions. Analytics history extends to one year, which is the first tier where year-over-year reporting is possible.
Growth is the tier most buyers compare against flat-rate plans elsewhere, since it is the first with approvals and a second seat. ContentStudio pricing sets its equivalent tier at $49 per month with two users included.
Growth is also the first tier where add-ons unlock, so you can buy additional seats at $11.25 and additional users at $3.75 rather than jumping to Scale.
Qualified non-profits can get 50% off the annual Growth plan, which is the largest published discount on the page.
Growth suits a small in-house team or a freelancer with two or three clients who needs an approval step before posts go live.
Scale includes six social sets (48 profiles) and four users, with unlimited posts and 100 AI credits a month. Analytics history runs to two years.
The feature additions are analytics-led: Meta Ads Analytics, custom analytics, competitive benchmarking, future industry insights, Brand Health, and Brand Mentions. Support moves to priority.
For agencies, the capacity jump is the real draw. Going from Growth to Scale triples the social sets and doubles the users for $45 more per month, which is cheaper than buying four extra sets and two extra users as add-ons on Growth ($56.25 in add-ons).
Scale suits an agency or a multi-brand marketing team that needs reporting depth as much as publishing capacity.
Later markets enterprise plans elsewhere on its site, but the public pricing page lists only Starter, Growth, and Scale. No enterprise price is published; budget for it through a sales conversation.
If you are still weighing tools rather than prices, our pillar guide on how to choose a social media management tool is the better starting point
Later charges per user above the included seats, so team size changes the bill directly. The calculations below use the $3.75 per-user rate printed on Later’s plan cards. See the conflict flagged above.
Growth includes two users, so a third seat is one add-on.
| Billing | Plan | Base | Extra users | Monthly total | Annual payment |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Annual | Growth | $37.50 | 1 × $3.75 = $3.75 | $41.25 | $495 |
| Monthly (derived) | Growth | $50.00 | 1 × $5.00 (assumed) | $55.00 | $660 |
The annual row uses Later’s published rates. The monthly row uses our derived $50 base and assumes add-ons scale by the same 25%; Later does not publish monthly add-on rates, so treat that row as an estimate.
Three people on Growth share 16 profiles across two social sets and 180 posts per profile per month. That capacity is usually the binding constraint, not the seat count.
Two routes get you there, and the cheaper one is not obvious.
| Route | Base | Add-ons | Monthly total | Annual payment | Capacity |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Growth + 3 extra users | $37.50 | 3 × $3.75 = $11.25 | $48.75 | $585 | 2 sets, 16 profiles |
| Scale + 1 extra user | $82.50 | 1 × $3.75 = $3.75 | $86.25 | $1,035 | 6 sets, 48 profiles |
Growth with three extra seats is $450 a year cheaper, and it is the right answer if 16 profiles is enough. The moment you need a third social set, the gap narrows fast: Growth with three extra users and four extra sets reaches $93.75 per month, which is more than Scale.
The crossover point is worth memorising. Once you need six social sets, Scale is cheaper than stacking add-ons on Growth. At four sets, Growth with five seats is $71.25 per month; at five sets it is $82.50; at six it reaches $93.75, which is more than Scale with the same headcount.
Later caps included seats at four on Scale, so a ten-person team buys six extra seats.
| Route | Base | Extra seats | Monthly total | Annual payment |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Scale + 6 users | $82.50 | 6 x $3.75 = $22.50 | $105.00 | $1,260 |
| Growth + 8 users + 4 sets | $37.50 | $30.00 + $45.00 | $112.50 | $1,350 |
At ten people, Scale is the cheaper route, and the gap keeps widening, because extra sets cost three times what extra seats cost. The practical ceiling is not price but capacity: Scale’s six social sets hold 48 profiles, and beyond that you are buying sets at $11.25 each with no volume break published.
If the seat count is what keeps climbing, it is worth checking how a flat-rate plan handles the same team. The Later alternative breakdown runs the comparison at three, five, and ten users.
| Plan | Annual billing | Profiles | Cost per profile per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $18.75 | 8 | $2.34 |
| Growth | $37.50 | 16 | $2.34 |
| Scale | $82.50 | 48 | $1.72 |
These are our calculations from Later’s published rates. Starter and Growth cost exactly the same per profile, which means the upgrade buys you seats, posting volume, and features rather than cheaper capacity. Scale is the only plan where the per-profile rate improves by about 27%.
That has a practical consequence: there is no price advantage to upgrading from Starter to Growth unless you need the seats, the approvals, or the 180-post allowance. If all you need is more profiles, buying a second social set is not an option on Starter, so the upgrade is forced rather than economic.
Starter at $18.75 per month on annual billing is $225 a year for one brand and one seat. It is the cheapest published entry point among the major visual-first schedulers, but the no-add-ons rule means it has no growth path short of a 100% price increase.
Later’s pricing is clearly laid out, so most of what follows is structural rather than concealed. Each item changes the total you pay.
Starter has no add-ons: This is the most consequential restriction on the page. Outgrowing one profile, one seat, or a handful of AI credits forces a jump from $18.75 to $37.50 per month. There is no middle step.
Social sets are bundles, not profiles: A social set holds eight profiles. If you manage three clients with three networks each, you need two sets (16 profiles) to hold nine profiles, because sets cannot be split across brands cleanly. You pay for capacity you will not use.
Post limits are per profile, per month: Starter’s 30 and Growth’s 180 are monthly ceilings on each profile. Heavy Stories publishing can consume a Growth allowance faster than teams expect.
Analytics history is tiered: Starter’s three-month window makes quarterly comparisons impossible and annual reporting out of the question. Upgrading for history alone is a real cost driver.
The extra-user price conflict: $3.75 on the plan card, $5 in the FAQ. On a five-person team, that difference is $45 a year. Small, but it signals that the published rates may be mid-update.
No free plan: Later removed the free tier, so there is no permanent zero-cost option to fall back to after the 14-day trial ends.
AI credits are metered, and extras are cheap but capped by plan. Starter’s 5 credits a month cannot be topped up at all. Growth and Scale can add 100 credits for $3.75 a month, which is reasonable, but the inability to buy credits on Starter is another version of the same no-add-ons problem.
Social inbox and approvals start at Growth: Two features most teams consider essential are unavailable at the entry price, which effectively sets Later’s real team entry point at $37.50 per month rather than $18.75.
Annual billing is paid upfront: The $18.75, $37.50, and $82.50 figures are monthly equivalents of annual payments of $225, $450, and $990.
What is not a hidden cost: Later does not charge separately for individual networks, and the AI credits included on each plan are not metered per profile.
No. Later does not offer a free plan. What it offers is a 14-day free trial, available on every plan, with the pricing page’s buttons reading “Start 14-day free trial.”
What the trial includes: access to the plan you select for the trial period. Later’s pricing page does not specify whether a payment method is required to start, so check at sign-up.
What happens after 14 days: the trial converts to the paid plan you selected. There is no free tier to drop back to, so if Later is not the right fit, you need to cancel rather than downgrade.
The closest thing to a free option: Later’s Link in Bio tool has historically been available at no cost, but the pricing page does not list a free tier, and the published plans all carry a price.
Discounts worth knowing about: qualified non-profits can get 50% off the annual Growth plan. Later does not publish a student or startup discount.
Later and ContentStudio price on different units, so the useful comparison is cost per unit of capacity rather than headline rate. The rates below come from Later’s plan cards and from ContentStudio pricing.
| Later Starter | ContentStudio Standard | |
|---|---|---|
| Annual billing | $18.75/month ($225/year) | $19/month ($228/year) |
| Monthly billing | $25 (derived) | $29 |
| Social accounts | 8 (1 social set) | 5 |
| Users | 1 | 1 |
| Workspaces | 1 brand | 1 |
| Free option | 14-day trial, no free plan | 7-day trial, no card required |
| Add-ons available | None | Extra account $5/month, extra user $10/month |
At the entry level, these are effectively the same price ($225 against $228 a year), and Later includes more profiles (8 against 5). ContentStudio is the more flexible of the two, because you can buy a sixth social account for $5 a month rather than upgrading the whole plan.
| Later Growth + 1 user | ContentStudio Advanced + 1 user | |
|---|---|---|
| Annual billing | $41.25/month ($495/year) | $59/month ($708/year) |
| Social accounts | 16 (2 sets) | 10 |
| Users | 3 | 3 |
| Workspaces | 2 brands | 2 |
| Approval workflow | Yes | Yes |
| AI credits | 50/month | 50,000 AI text credits/month |
For a three-person team, Later Growth is $213 a year cheaper and includes six more profiles. That is a clear win on raw capacity.
The comparison inverts at agency scale. ContentStudio Agency Unlimited at $99 per month on annual billing includes 25 social accounts, unlimited users, and unlimited workspaces. Later Scale at $82.50 includes 48 profiles but caps users at four, and each extra seat costs $3.75.
| Scenario: 8 users, 20 profiles | Later | ContentStudio |
|---|---|---|
| Plan | Scale + 4 extra users | Agency Unlimited |
| Monthly (annual billing) | $82.50 + $15 = $97.50 | $99 |
| Annual payment | $1,170 | $1,188 |
| User ceiling | 8 (and rising with each seat) | Unlimited |
At eight users, the two are within $18 a year of each other, and every seat added after that pushes Later ahead on cost while ContentStudio’s price stays flat.
Later is cheaper when you need many profiles for a small team, especially if you publish heavily to Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest. The 8-profile social set is strong value at the Starter and Growth tiers.
ContentStudio is cheaper when the team is large, when you need separate client workspaces, or when AI content generation is part of the workflow. Unlimited users on Agency Unlimited removes the per-seat variable entirely.
The feature-level differences are covered on the Later vs. ContentStudio comparison. For pricing alone, count your seats first: Later wins below four users and loses above eight.
Later’s pricing is competitive for its intended buyer and awkward for everyone else, which is a reasonable trade for a tool that is openly visual-first.
Later is good value if you manage one or two brands with a small team. Growth at $37.50 per month on annual billing gives you 16 profiles, two seats, approvals, and a social inbox. Few tools include an approval workflow at that price.
It is also strong for creator-led publishing. The Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest features are the reason to pay for Later: Reels Audio, best times to post, Link in Bio and UGC collection, and they appear on the cheapest plans rather than being reserved for the top tier.
Starter is poor value as a growth plan. Its no-add-ons rule means the first limit you hit doubles your bill. If there is any chance you will need a second seat or a ninth profile within a year, start on Growth and skip the step.
Large teams pay a premium. The comparison worth running is against a plan with no seat charge at all, which is what ContentStudio’s Agency Unlimited tier offers at $99 per month. With four seats included at Scale and $3.75 per seat after that, a ten-person team pays $105 per month on annual billing before any extra sets. Tools with unlimited-user pricing cost less at that headcount.
Check these before buying: how many profiles you actually publish to, since you buy them in blocks of eight; how many posts per profile per month you run, because Starter’s 30 is easy to exceed; how far back your reporting needs to go, since Starter caps at three months; and whether the extra-user rate at checkout is $3.75 or $5.
If seats are few and profiles are many, Later is priced well. If the reverse is true, compare it against the Later alternative options.
A decision table based on the published limits, not the marketing positioning.
| Your situation | Plan | Annual billing | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo creator, one brand, up to 8 profiles | Starter | $18.75/month | Cheapest entry point, but no room to grow |
| Solo creator posting daily to several profiles | Growth | $37.50/month | Starter’s 30 posts per profile per month runs out fast |
| Two or three people, approvals needed | Growth | $37.50/month | Approvals, social inbox and a second seat all start here |
| Up to five people, two brands | Growth + extra seats | $48.75/month | Cheaper than Scale until you need a third social set |
| Agency with four or more brands | Scale | $82.50/month | Six social sets and unlimited posts |
| Reporting-led team needing Meta Ads data | Scale | $82.50/month | Meta Ads Analytics, Brand Health and benchmarking are Scale-only |
Two rules make the choice straightforward. Never buy Starter if you expect a second user, because Starter allows no add-ons and the upgrade doubles your bill. And count your profiles in blocks of eight, since that is the unit Later sells.
The post allowance deserves a check of its own. Starter’s 30 posts per profile per month sounds generous until you add Stories, and Growth’s 180 is the figure most daily publishers actually need.
On annual billing, $18.75 for Starter, $37.50 for Growth, and $82.50 for Scale, in USD. Monthly billing works out to roughly $25, $50, and $110 based on Later’s published 25% annual discount, though the plan cards display the annual rates.
No. Later’s pricing page lists no free tier. Every plan begins with a 14-day free trial.
Growth plus three extra seats is $48.75 per month on annual billing, or $585 a year. Scale plus one extra seat is $86.25 per month, or $1,035 a year, and gives you six social sets instead of two.
Yes, above the included seats. Starter includes one user and allows no extras. Growth includes two and Scale includes four, with additional seats listed at $3.75 per month on the plan cards and $5 per month in the page’s FAQ.
A social set is a bundle of eight social profiles. Starter includes one set, Growth two, and Scale six. Extra sets cost $11.25 per month on Growth and Scale.
Yes, described on the page as 3 months free, or 25% off. Annual plans are paid upfront.
For visual-first publishing with a small team, yes. The profile allowance per dollar is among the best available. For larger teams, per-seat charges make tools with unlimited-user pricing cheaper.
Eight per social set. Starter includes one set (8 profiles), Growth two (16), and Scale six (48). Extra sets cost $11.25 per month on Growth and Scale.
No. Starter allows no add-ons of any kind, including extra social sets, users, and AI credits. The only route past a Starter limit is upgrading to Growth.
Starter allows 30 posts per profile per month, Growth 180 per profile per month, and Scale unlimited.
ContentStudio is the closest match for teams that need unlimited users and separate client workspaces. Metricool and Publer are worth comparing if a free plan matters.
