Metricool pricing 2026: Plans, costs, and what you actually pay

SocialPilot pricing starts at $30 a month, but choosing the cheapest plan doesn’t necessarily mean getting everything your team needs. Features such as analytics are available from the Standard plan, while bulk scheduling, client approvals, and white-label reports require Premium. As a result, the plan that looks affordable at first may not be the most cost-effective option for your workflow.
The right subscription depends on more than how many social accounts you manage. Your team’s need for specific features, additional users, and extra accounts can all affect the final cost, even if you stay on the same plan.
This guide breaks down SocialPilot’s plans, feature restrictions, add-ons, and refund rules to help you understand what you’ll actually pay. It also compares SocialPilot with ContentStudio, highlighting how built-in analytics, bulk scheduling, AI creation tools, and unlimited-user options affect the overall value of each subscription.
SocialPilot sells four priced plans and a quote-based Enterprise plan, and each price covers a bundle of accounts and users. The table shows what each bundle includes.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Monthly equivalent, annual billing | Base cost per year | Social accounts | Team users | Client seats | AI credits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essentials | $30 | $25.50 | $306 | 7 | 1 | 0 | 500 |
| Standard | $50 | $42.50 | $510 | 15 | 3 | 0 | 1,000 |
| Premium | $100 | $85 | $1,020 | 25 | 6 | Unlimited | 5,000 |
| Ultimate | $200 | $170 | $2,040 | 50 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | Quote | Quote | Quote | Custom | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Source: SocialPilot’s plans page, checked on 29 October 2026. Annual totals are calculated from the published 15% discount.
These are bundle prices, so Standard at $50 includes three users and should never be read as $50 per user. Client seats are a separate allowance, which means Premium’s unlimited client seats do not make its internal team unlimited.
Start by matching the same number of social accounts and required users across your shortlist. Otherwise, a low entry price can disguise a different capacity allowance, the same distinction to check when reviewing Buffer pricing.
The same 15% discount applies to every priced plan, and the savings grow with the plan.
| Plan | 12 monthly payments | Annual payment | Saving |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essentials | $360 | $306 | $54 |
| Standard | $600 | $510 | $90 |
| Premium | $1,200 | $1,020 | $180 |
| Ultimate | $2,400 | $2,040 | $360 |
Account and user allowances set the starting cost, but required features can force a higher subscription even when you do not need its extra capacity. The table shows the first plan that includes each capability.
| Capability | First plan that includes it |
|---|---|
| Analytics, PDF reports and scheduled reports | Standard |
| Social inbox, inbox automation and replies | Standard |
| Content approval and manager approval | Standard |
| Bulk scheduling and CSV uploads | Premium |
| Custom fields and image watermarks | Premium |
| Custom, competitor and white-label reports | Premium |
| Client management and client approval | Premium |
| Advanced White Label | Ultimate |
| Enforced two-factor authentication | Ultimate |
| Migration, onboarding, and an account manager | Ultimate |
| SSO and API access | Enterprise |
For approval-based workflows, distinguish internal manager review from client sign-off before comparing prices. Use that distinction when evaluating Loomly pricing too; the relevant figure is the plan that supports your review process, not simply the lowest advertised tier.
The Essentials plan comes without analytics, inbox access, or approval workflows, while Standard includes all three. However, features such as bulk scheduling, client approvals, competitor reports, and white-label reports are available only with Premium.
The Ultimate plan takes things further with unlimited users, Advanced White Label, and enforced two-factor authentication. Although adding users or accounts can help you avoid a capacity-driven upgrade, add-ons cannot give you access to features reserved for a higher-tier plan.
Each plan adds capacity and features, but each also leaves out something that the next plan includes. The sections below show the boundary of every plan.
Essentials is built for professionals who work independently. It includes 7 accounts, 1 user, a content library, tags, 5 RSS feeds, smart queues, calendar view, and platform-specific post customization.
It has no analytics, inbox, approvals, or bulk scheduling, and the page does not offer an extra-user option, so a solo publisher who adds a collaborator has to change plans.
Standard is aimed at small businesses and small teams, with 15 accounts, 3 users, and 10 RSS feeds. It adds analytics, PDF and scheduled reports, a social inbox with automation, team collaboration, and manager approval.
Client approval, client management, competitor reports, and bulk scheduling require Premium. Client features, custom and competitor reports, and bulk scheduling are excluded, and manager approval is not the same as client approval.
Premium includes 25 accounts, six users, unlimited client seats, and 15 RSS feeds. It adds bulk scheduling, custom fields, image watermarks, custom, competitor, and white-label reports, client management, and client approval.
It excludes Advanced White Label, enforced two-factor authentication, and included onboarding. Six internal users are included; additional users cost $5 each per month.
Ultimate is designed for established agencies and multi-location brands, with 50 accounts and 20 RSS feeds. It adds unlimited users, unlimited AI credits, Advanced White Label, enforced two-factor authentication, migration and onboarding, and a dedicated account manager.
Unlimited users, client seats, and AI credits do not mean unlimited accounts. The plan includes 50 social accounts, with additional accounts priced at $4 each per month.
SSO, API access, and custom configurations are listed under Enterprise, which requires a quote. No price, minimum commitment or minimum user count is published.
Two add-ons stretch a plan without moving up a tier, and both are priced per unit each month.
| Add-on | Price per month | Shown on |
|---|---|---|
| Extra social account | $4 | Essentials, Standard, Premium, Ultimate |
| Extra user | $5 | Standard, Premium |
The add-ons change which plan is cheapest. An eight-person team can pay $75 a month on Standard with five extra users, or $110 on Premium with two extra users. The cheaper option is not feature-equivalent, because only Premium includes bulk scheduling, client approvals, and white-label reports.
Extra capacity and extra functionality are separate purchases. When checking Publer pricing alongside these add-ons, price your required accounts first, then confirm whether the resulting subscription includes approvals, reporting, and bulk uploads.
The cost of SocialPilot depends on the account count, the user count, and, above all, the features you need. Teams comparing bundled and per-seat models can find more in our guide on how to choose a social media management tool.
These examples use the monthly base prices and the add-on rates above, before taxes.
| Situation | Plan and add-ons | Monthly cost |
|---|---|---|
| 1 person, up to 7 accounts | Essentials | $30 |
| 3 people, up to 15 accounts | Standard | $50 |
| 5 people, up to 15 accounts | Standard + 2 users | $60 |
| 3 people, 20 accounts | Standard + 5 accounts | $70 |
| 6 people, 25 accounts, client approvals | Premium | $100 |
| 8 people, 25 accounts, client approvals | Premium + 2 users | $110 |
| Large team, up to 50 accounts | Ultimate | $200 |
The fourth row shows account add-ons at work: five extra accounts at $4 add $20 to Standard’s $50.
Use your actual subscription cost, rather than the $30 starting price, as the benchmark when comparing other platforms. If Later is also on your shortlist, compare Later pricing against the same number of accounts, team access, and approval requirements to get a more realistic picture of what you’ll pay.
The refund rule for annual plans is the contract detail most buyers miss, and the other rules decide how flexible a plan really is. They come from SocialPilot’s terms of service, last updated in December 2024, and its plans page.
Subscriptions renew automatically. You can request cancellation at any time, but it takes effect at the end of the billing cycle, and annual subscription payments are not refundable. Cancellation is self-service from your account, and the terms say changes take effect at the end of the billing cycle.
The account owner can cancel through the account settings; the terms also provide a support-email cancellation route.
Refunds are limited. The terms state that annual subscriptions cannot be refunded. For non-annual subscriptions, the terms describe a full refund of the latest charge if you forgot to cancel or had not used the account for more than a day after the charge. They exclude prorated refunds after more than a day of use. Confirm eligibility with support.
You can switch between plans at any time. If you downgrade, you are charged only for the days you used the higher plan, and the unused amount is saved as credit in your account. The terms also allow SocialPilot to change its rates with advance notice, and no number of days is stated.
A bundle can cover your account and user requirements while still excluding a feature you need. The examples below separate capacity costs from feature-driven upgrades.
One person with up to 7 accounts pays $306 a year on Essentials, which covers publishing but not analytics or an inbox. A solo user who needs reporting moves to Standard at $510, which also adds two user seats the person may not need.
Three people with up to 15 accounts pay $510 a year on Standard, including analytics, an inbox, and manager approval. The price doubles when the team needs bulk scheduling, since Premium costs $1,020 a year.
Premium is the first plan with client management, client approval, bulk scheduling, and white-label reports, at $1,020 a year for 25 accounts and 6 users. Agencies with more than six staff add $5 per user a month, and agencies that outgrow 25 accounts add $4 per account a month or move to Ultimate.
Ultimate costs $2,040 a year for 50 accounts and unlimited users, and Enterprise handles custom setups.
A lower subscription price is not the only way to reduce the cost of the workflow. ContentStudio combines publishing with AI image and video generation, competitor analytics, and evergreen recycling. Our SocialPilot alternative for growing teams explains where those capabilities fit alongside approvals, reporting, and client management.
With SocialPilot’s numbers laid out, here is what the same situations cost on ContentStudio, shown the same way. The figures come from ContentStudio’s own pricing page.
ContentStudio charges a base plan price with included users. Advanced supports paid user, account, and workspace add-ons, while Agency Unlimited includes unlimited users and workspaces. Its pricing page lists Standard at $19, Advanced at $49, and Agency Unlimited at $99 per month on annual billing.
Standard includes 5 social accounts and 1 user. Advanced includes 10 accounts, 2 workspaces, and 2 users, with extra users at $10 a month and extra accounts at $5 a month. Agency Unlimited includes unlimited users and workspaces and starts with 25 accounts. Full details are on the ContentStudio pricing page.
The table pairs each situation with the cheapest ContentStudio option that covers the same accounts, users, and key features.
| Situation | SocialPilot option | SocialPilot yearly | ContentStudio option | ContentStudio yearly |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 person, up to 5 accounts | Essentials | $306 | Standard | $228 |
| 3 people, 15 accounts, internal approval | Standard | $510 | Advanced + 1 user + 5 accounts | $1,008 |
| 6 people, 25 accounts, client approval, bulk scheduling | Premium | $1,020 | Agency Unlimited | $1,188 |
| 8 people, 25 accounts, client approval, bulk scheduling | Premium + 2 users | $1,140 | Agency Unlimited | $1,188 |
| Unlimited users, 50 accounts | Ultimate | $2,040 | Agency Unlimited above 25 accounts | Quote |
| 1 person, up to 5 accounts, analytics required | Standard | $510 | Standard | $228 |
| 2 people, up to 10 accounts, bulk scheduling | Premium | $1,020 | Advanced | $588 |
Sources: SocialPilot figures from its plans page and ContentStudio figures from contentstudio.io/pricing, both checked on 29 October 2026. Add-on calculations assume the published monthly extra-user and extra-account charges apply throughout the annual term without an additional discount. Confirm the annual add-on totals before purchasing. Taxes and other optional products are excluded.
The lower-cost option depends on the requirement. ContentStudio costs less in the solo-analytics and smaller bulk-scheduling configurations shown, while SocialPilot costs less in several account-heavy team configurations. Compare the features you will use alongside the included accounts and users.
These configurations compare the stated accounts, users, and workflow requirements, not identical products. ContentStudio Advanced includes bulk scheduling, competitor analytics, evergreen recycling, and approval workflows, while its AI Studio supports text, image, and video creation within separate credit allowances.
Branded reports and a fully branded platform are different capabilities. Do not add ContentStudio’s platform white-label fee to a comparison that only requires branded reporting. Additional Agency Unlimited social accounts are priced separately, so obtain that total before comparing a 50-account configuration.
For the wider feature comparison, see ContentStudio vs SocialPilot.
SocialPilot’s starting price only tells part of the story, so it’s important to check which features each plan includes before choosing a subscription. While account and user add-ons can give you more capacity, features such as bulk scheduling, client approvals, and advanced reporting still require a higher-tier plan.
If your team’s needs go beyond scheduling, ContentStudio is another option worth considering. It brings analytics, bulk publishing, evergreen recycling, and AI image and video creation together in one workflow.
You can test how well ContentStudio fits your publishing and approval process with its free seven-day trial, with no credit card required.
The plans list 500, 1,000, and 5,000 credits, plus unlimited credits on Ultimate and Enterprise, but the plans page does not say how many credits each AI action uses. It also does not state whether credits reset monthly, roll over, are shared across users or can be bought separately, so all of those points are not verified.
SocialPilot’s AI Pilot generates ideas, captions, and hashtags, but those text tools do not create the images or videos that accompany a post. ContentStudio’s AI Studio also supports image and video generation, letting teams create more of the post inside their publishing tool. Usage remains subject to the relevant AI credit allowances; it should not be treated as unlimited creative production.
SocialPilot supports repeating individual posts, so it would be inaccurate to say it cannot reuse content. The distinction is managing a continuing rotation: ContentStudio offers evergreen recycling for a collection of posts on a defined schedule. For teams repeatedly sharing educational content, service information, or established resources, that provides a different workflow from setting repeats on individual posts.
A content library and a discovery feed serve different purposes. SocialPilot’s library organizes material your team has already added. ContentStudio also offers a discovery feed for finding relevant articles and posts to bring into the publishing workflow. If researching shareable material takes a significant part of your week, compare discovery capabilities, not just storage and scheduling.
No, do not assume that connecting your social accounts will transfer the existing publishing queue. ContentStudio’s migration guidance says scheduled posts do not carry over automatically. Before switching, review what remains scheduled in SocialPilot, reconnect the relevant accounts, and rebuild or import supported material into ContentStudio. Account for that setup work when choosing your cancellation date.
