Turn Off Active Status on Facebook From Mobile App

Follow the below steps to make yourself invisible on Facebook.

Step 1:

Open your Facebook account and tap on the “Hamburger” icon (three horizontal lines) at the top right corner of the screen to open the menu.

Step 2:

At the bottom of your page, look for the “Settings & privacy” option. Tap on it, and a sub-menu will appear.

Step 3:

From the sub-menu, tap “Settings” to go to the main settings page of your Facebook account.

Step 4:

Within the “Audience and Visibility” section, look for the “Active Status” option and tap on it.

Step 5:

Turn off your active status; simply slide the toggle switch to the left. The switch will turn gray, indicating that your active status is disabled.

Turn Off Active Status on Facebook From the PC

Step 1:

Open Facebook account on your preferred web browser. At the top right corner of the screen, you’ll see a “Chat/Message” icon. Click on it.

Step 2:

Here you can see a preview of all your sent or received messages. Click on the “Three-dot” icon in the upper right corner of the chat tab. A follow-up menu will open up. Click on “Active Status.”

Step 3:

A new window will pop up with settings related to your active status. In this window, you can turn off the active status for all contacts or customize it for specific people or friend lists.  Here we will switch the “Toggle” icon to turn off the active status for all contacts.

Step 4:

Now a confirmation tab will open up; click on “Save.”
